On Seasonal Baking

26 11 2007

Well Christmas is coming and I’d like to remind everyone not to put raisins in their baking. Thats right. There is nothing worse than trying a bit of bread pudding, or a slice of ginger bread and biting into a squishy worm-like object. Did you ever wonder why when you look on someones plate they have raisins and walnuts on the side? No, it isn’t because they wanted extras. They pulled them out of their food.

On a side note, you shouldn’t overdo the walnuts either. There tend to be nuts on the table anyway. Baking something truly great isn’t about how strong a flavor you make it, but rather how well the ingredients are mixed.

Tomb of Jesus in Jerusalem? Sure!

27 02 2007

This seems to be a hot topic, so I figure I’ll get in on it. Many people know the tomb of Jesus has supposedly been found. Many do not believe that it has, and that the story is fake. Unlike many, I believe it. Why? Simple.

But the casket says ‘Jesua’, not ‘Jesus’! Well yes, but ‘Jesua’ is ‘Jesus’ in English.

One says ‘Judah’, also ‘Jesus’ in English.

‘Mary’ and ‘Mara’ were also found in the tomb. Both names are ‘Mary’ in English.

‘Jofa’ I am not sure about, but it may also translate ‘Jesus’. ‘Matthew’ obviously doesn’t change.

Now lets take a closer look. One casket says “Mariamene e Mara.” This means “Mary known as the master.” Some seem to think this is ‘Mary Magdalene. I personally do not.

One says “Jesua, Son of Joseph.” Thats quite basic and doesn’t need explanation.

One says “Judah, Son of Jesua.”

The rest are just names. Why do I believe that this really is Jesus tomb? Because Jesus was a quite common name at that time. There may be many tombs marked Jesus. They are all tombs of Jesus, although they may not be the same Jesus.

Alright, so I sort of tricked you. Anyway, there are more things that need explanation. For instance, there are 2 ‘Mary’s. Some believe one is Mary, wife of Joseph. You will notice there is no Joseph in the tomb, so why would they be buried in different places? Also, ‘Mary,’ like ‘Jesus,’ was a very common name at that time.

Jesus was the son of a carpenter. Joseph was not wealthy enough to buy a family tomb, nor was Jesus. If Jesus was alive today, he probably wouldn’t have the money to afford new clothes.

This tomb is in Jerusalem, not Nazareth. If Jesus bought a tomb, it would have been in Nazareth. He was buried in Jerusalem, but he was only there for 3 days.

They have done DNA tests, and have found the Jesua and Mara were not related. That says a lot doesn’t it? Unfortunately I don’t know what it says, but it does say a lot! Well how about the child? Was he related to them both? Nobody knows!

Alright, lets just imagine for a second that it really is Christ. Wouldn’t the Jews have brought this out 2000 years ago? Why would his disciples preach that he ascended?

So one last question: How can Jesus be buried in Jerusalem, India, and Japan all at once?

Penn Foster

22 02 2007

Well it seems html doesn’t work here. That’s ok, its not like anyone is ever gonna read this anyway.

I’m doing an online high school program called Penn Foster.. The second lesson is called ‘Introduction to Computers’. It was written in 2001.. wait.. it was originally copyrighted in 2001. It seems to have been obsolete at that time though. It’s based on windows 95..

Much of the information is incorrect. They never use the word ‘cursor’. Instead they use ‘pointer’. rather than ‘maximize’ they use ‘expand’. You might say “Well that’s no big deal, it doesn’t have to be perfect..” But think of how many people actually need to know this stuff. They think they know, then they go to get help with something, but nobody knows what they are talking about because they have the wrong information from taking this lesson.

It isn’t a Christian group that puts it out.. That must be why they worship microsoft.

In the ‘Start Menu’ there are 11 microsoft programs, and 4 microsoft sub-menus. That doesn’t include ‘internet explorer’ and ‘ms DOS’.

Does anyone know this: When Billy came up with the name ‘microsoft’… was he referring to part of his body? But in that case, why not microlimp? Doesn’t sound as good? Well I suppose you should be proud of what God gave you..

Motocross Madness 2

20 02 2007

Last night I wanted to play MCM2, but my CD was scratched and wouldn’t install. I had burned the program files copy to CD once before, but when I tried using it, it told me there was an installation error. I attempted to install from CD, hoping it would fix any problems, but it seems the files that wont install are the ones I needed. I then downloaded a CD image of it.. (I wont say where I got that ;)) but my DVD burner isn’t working.
So how am I supposed to use it? Well I found a free extraction program called ExtractNow that worked quite well. After extracting it I put the CD in and opened the downloaded install file. (I put the disk in because I didn’t want to confuse the machine in any way..)
Well I hit play, and it worked fine other than my downloaded bikes and riders.. but I backed them up anyway. My tracks are still there, and the game itself works fine.
