On Seasonal Baking

26 11 2007

Well Christmas is coming and I’d like to remind everyone not to put raisins in their baking. Thats right. There is nothing worse than trying a bit of bread pudding, or a slice of ginger bread and biting into a squishy worm-like object. Did you ever wonder why when you look on someones plate they have raisins and walnuts on the side? No, it isn’t because they wanted extras. They pulled them out of their food.

On a side note, you shouldn’t overdo the walnuts either. There tend to be nuts on the table anyway. Baking something truly great isn’t about how strong a flavor you make it, but rather how well the ingredients are mixed.
